We all have a sweet tooth sometimes, and this edible cookie dough satisfies that craving while leaving you feeling nourished too. This has a good amount of protein with almond flour, peanut butter instead of oil and the perfect amount of rich sweetness coming from maple syrup. I hope this fun snack or healthy dessert is a new go-to for you. It’s also vegan, grain-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free and refined sugar-free depending on your chocolate chips.

I prefer ingredients that are minimal and as nutrient dense as possible in my cooking. So I love and recommend peanut butter that is made with only peanuts and maybe sea salt. Many people buy no-stir nut butters that have added sugar, hydrogenated oils and possible trans fats. But, because I choose to avoid those added ingredients, I always look for nut butters that require me to stir them after opening.
Right now I’m using the Kirkland Brand Organic Peanut Butter from Costco and the only ingredients are organic roasted peanuts and sea salt. It’s also extremely delicious.
Almond Flour: You can equally substitute cassava flour or oat flour for a non paleo option.
Peanut Butter: Instead, try using cashew butter, almond butter or sunflower butter for a nut-free option.
Pure Maple Syrup: You can swap this for raw honey or agave if you like.
Chocolate chips: If you want to try something else, you could use some chopped nuts or cocoa nibs instead. You can also leave them out completely.
